Can an easy control be linked to Alexa?

Thanks to Amazon’s Alexa, you can now enjoy voice control of many different elements of your home, from television and music to lighting and home security. But did you know that thanks to Bosch EasyControl technology, you can also use Alexa to control your heating? Read on to learn more.

The Bosch EasyControl, in conjunction with Alexa, gives you the use of voice commands to control your heating and check the status of your system - meaning that you can manage your home environment from wherever in the house you happen to be, and you can keep your hands free the whole time.

EasyControl and Alexa - a perfect match

This voice-operated service offered by Alexa allows you to send commands or change the settings of your EasyControl thermostat with little to no effort. Once you have paired Alexa with your Easy control, you can use the voice commands below to prompt Alexa to interact with your EasyControl.

The Amazon Alexa service can be accessed as a mobile App for iOS and Android or via alexa.amazon.com.

Get set up in 2 easy steps

Step 1: Pair your Bosch ID to your EasyControl

From your EasyControl app, tap on "External Services" in the menu settings and select "EasyControl Pairing Page". Login with your Bosch ID (which you will have created during the installation process of the EasyControl) and follow the onscreen instructions.

Step 2: Complete the EasyControl & Amazon Alexa integration

From the Amazon Alexa app, tap on "Skills & Games" in the menu and search for EasyControl of Bosch. Click on "Enable to use" to unlock all of the EasyControl features and simply follow the onscreen instructions.

Easy installation

Installing the EasyControl couldn’t be easier. If your current thermostat is connected to heating wires in the wall and you are happy where it is, simply replace it with a wired Bosch EasyControl. If it is a new installation or you are looking for a wireless solution, you may wish to use the Bosch EasyControl together with the EasyControl RF Key. If your thermostat is wireless and you want to move your Bosch EasyControl to a better position, then use it anywhere you like with the table stand and the EasyControl RF Key.
