Which oil boiler brands were rated best?

Four oil boiler brands made it into the final rankings presented by Which? Magazine for 2020 - Grant, Firebird, Warmflow and Worcester Bosch. All of these brands were chosen by Which? experts, based on a selection of criteria. Consumer feedback from hundreds of homeowners was also collected. The research was conducted in May and June 2020 and used to give an overall score for each brand.

What main criteria were used?

The main criteria used to rank the best oil boiler brands in 2020 were reliability, customer score and availability of parts and spares. Individual scores out of five were combined from each of these areas to calculate an overall percentage score.

The reliability score was based on whether people who own boilers up to six years old have ever had to have it repaired since they purchased it. The age of the boiler when the fault occurred and the total number of faults was taken into account. The customer satisfaction score was based on how satisfied customers of each brand are with their boiler, and how likely they would be to recommend it to a friend.

So which brand was chosen as the UK’s best oil boiler manufacturer for 2020?
